Based in Taipei, David has sound ethics and discipline as a result of his family background, western education (Columbia MBA in 1995) and 29+ years of working experience at international institutions in US, Europe, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Taiwan.

In April 1999 the venture capital fund David served, Transpac Capital, invested in Alibaba as the first ever investor with a 91x return.
